100 Talent
A motion graphic marking one hundred talent signings at AMG, with the whole roster in one piece.
One hundred creators, one shape, and a hundred hexagons that had to add up without being counted.

Overview
The AMG logomark is built on 60 degree angles, so hexagons were the obvious primary shape. Hexagon tiling already reads as technology, and here it comes out of the mark rather than being applied over it.
Making a hundred fit
Exactly one hundred hexagons did not produce the shape we wanted, and splitting them between the mark and the 100 did not either. They were distributed across both instead, repeating where the shape needed them, which is the version that reads as a hundred without anyone counting.
Geometry nodes
This was a good excuse to use geometry nodes. The setup went together quickly and drove both the 100 and the mark from the same nodes, with only the wave timing adjusted between them.
