What this website and my phone lines collect, where it goes and why. It describes how the site is actually built, and I update it when that changes.

Who's responsible

I'm Palle St Cyer, an independent brand identity, motion and web studio in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I'm a sole proprietor, and I'm the person responsible for the personal information described on this page.

Questions and requests: hello@palle.ca

When you get in touch

The contact form: on the home, contact and service pages it asks for your name, email, message and budget range, and your company if you want to give it. It also sends the page you wrote from and, if you reached the site from a Google ad, the ad's click ID.

Where it goes: your message comes to me as an email, sent through a service called Resend, and as a short text to my phone with your name, email, budget and the start of your message. The site doesn't keep a separate copy in its database. The email is the record.

Offer page forms: they ask for your name and email, and if you want to give them, your phone number and a line about your business. They also send which offer and page you were on, the site that referred you, the campaign tags in the link you followed and any Google or Microsoft ad click ID. They reach me the same way, as an email and a text to my phone.

The free teardown form: it asks for your website or business name, your email and anything you'd like me to look at, and reaches me the same way.

When you call or text

Calls and texts to my business phone numbers are handled by Twilio and passed on to my own phone.

Calls: I keep a record of the number that called, when, whether I answered and for how long. A text with the caller's number reaches my phone as it rings.

Voicemail: messages are recorded and transcribed by Twilio. I keep the transcript. The recording stays with Twilio, and I get an email with your number, the transcript and a link to the recording.

Texts: I keep the messages you send and the replies I send, and each one you send is forwarded to my phone.

Names: I may save a name against your number so I know who's calling next time.

When you visit

My own visit log: the site keeps a simple record of each visit. That's the page you arrived on and the site that sent you, the campaign tags and ad click ID in the link if there are any, your device type, screen size and browser, your approximate location (country, region and city), which my hosting provider works out from your IP address, and how many pages you viewed, how far you scrolled and how long you were active. On the offer pages it also notes which sections you reached and whether you tapped to call or text, or started or sent a form.

Your IP address: I don't store it. I store a scrambled form of it.

How long: visit records are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Browser storage: the visit log uses your browser's session storage, so its ID is gone when you close the tab. If you arrive from an ad, the ad's click ID and campaign tags are kept in your browser's local storage for 90 days, so an enquiry you send later can still be credited to the ad. Nothing in my own code sets cookies on the public pages or the offer pages.

My review link: it passes through this site on its way to Google, and records a visit the same way.

Google

Google Analytics: it runs on the public pages and the offer pages. It's Google's service, and Google sets its own cookies. I send it events such as a form being started or sent, which offer it was, and the campaign tags and ad click IDs. I never send it your name, email or phone number.

Google Ads: on my contact and terms pages and on most offer pages, the Google Ads tag adds visitors to remarketing audiences in my Google Ads account, which can be used to show ads to those visitors later.

Call tracking: on those same pages, if you arrived from one of my Google ads, Google may show you one of its own forwarding numbers in place of mine, so it can tell me the call came from the ad.

Payments

Paying for the 72 Hour Stinger happens on Stripe's checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this site. Stripe's reference for the checkout is passed to Google Analytics so a sale isn't counted twice.

Who handles it

I use these companies to run the site and the phone lines, and they process the information above on my behalf.

Vercel: hosts the site.

Neon: holds the database.

Resend: sends the emails.

Twilio: handles calls, texts, recordings and transcription.

Google: provides Analytics and Ads.

Cloudflare: serves the site's images and video.

Stripe: takes payments.

Some of these companies store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone beyond the companies listed above.

How long I keep it

Visit records: deleted automatically after 90 days.

Everything else: enquiries, texts, call records and voicemail transcripts are kept until you ask me to delete them.

Your choices

You can block Google Analytics with a browser setting or extension, and the site still works.

You can ask what I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@palle.ca.

If this changes: I'll update this page and the date at the top.
