A weekly show has to be rebuilt every week, so the design is the setup as much as it is the frames.

Overview

The logo is drawn from an LED screen, and that decision set the character for everything after it: the type, the map asset, and the way the scenes are lit.

The direction was proposed on a mockup before anything was rendered, so the look could be agreed while it was still cheap to change.

Blender process

To get movement that varied rather than repeated, the map and the text were imported as SVG, converted to meshes, given a base animation, and then had faces picked at random to offset the keyframes on each instance. The result reads as hand-timed without any of it being timed by hand.
